Job Title: Inventory and Warehouse Specialist
Reports to: Warehouse and Inventory Supervisor / Manager
Job Purpose
To carry out the day-to-day warehouse and shipping operations set forth by the Warehouse and Inventory Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive, stock, and document incoming material
- Pull, stage, and document outgoing material
- Maintain the organization and accuracy of current inventory levels
- Ensure that requests given by outside departments are serviced in a timely manner
- Follow warehouse safety procedures to keep a safe and clean work environment
- Visually inspect and pack all shipments for conveyance
- Follow import and export compliance processes
- File all paperwork according to established document retention SOP
- Recommend measures to improve the efficiency and productivity of the warehouse
Qualifications
Required
- Education: Minimum of high school diploma or GED
- Abilities: Ability to lift up to 50 lb
- Characteristics: Team oriented, attentive to detail, good time management
Preferred
- Experience: 1+ years of warehouse/shipping or related work experience
Working Conditions
Warehouse environment in a light assembly and distribution-based corporation
Physical Requirements
Ability to meet physical requirements including: a variety of standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day; lifting and pulling inventory from shelves; lifting of up to 50 pounds; occasional climbing of ladders; and use of fork truck.
